# Pricing, Polygraph

Two ways to pay, both in credits. 1 credit = $0.01 (100 credits per dollar).

- Pay as you go: buy credits when you need them, from $5. No subscription is required.
- Subscribe: choose a monthly amount, from $5, and get 15% more credits every month. Subscribe before 2027-01-01 to keep today's prices for as long as you stay subscribed.
- Free: every account gets 100 credits each calendar month (UTC). They are spent first and do not carry over.

## Fact checks

A check runs every claim the post makes; there is no cap on claims per post. The price is known before the check runs, from the kind of post and a video's length. USD in parentheses.

Prices rise on 2027-01-01. Until then (through 2026-12-31) the intro prices apply to everyone.

Examples today: a 3-minute video costs 25 credits; a 10-minute video costs 50 credits; a 30-minute video costs 150 credits.

- Price lock: a supporter subscription started before 2027-01-01 keeps the intro prices for as long as it stays active. Cancelling ends the lock, and checks then cost the prices in effect. Pay-as-you-go accounts pay the new prices from 2027-01-01.

Free:

- A post that has already been checked. You see the existing check at no charge.
- A post the check holds because nothing in it is checkable (not political, no factual claims). The charge is refunded.

Re-verifying a claim charges only the work done again: every claim is re-extracted and re-verified, while the media and transcript already on file are reused. A post or a short video costs the same as its check; a longer video costs less (today a 10-minute video whose transcript is on file costs 37 credits to re-verify, against 50 credits to check).

## Credits

- 1 credit = $0.01.
- Minimum purchase: $5.
- Purchased credits never expire. Bonus credits from a top-up expire after 12 months. Free monthly credits do not carry over.
- Auto-reload (optional, default off): add $10 when the balance drops below 200 credits.

- Supporter subscription ($5+ per month, choose the amount): 15% bonus every month, and supporter credits, bonus included, never expire.
- Intro promotion (through 2026-12-31): 25% bonus on purchases of $100 or more (12,500 credits for $100).
- The best applicable bonus applies; bonuses do not stack.
